Today’s Topic Is “The Flipped Side of Karma”…

~ Do you believe in karma?

~ Do you believe that you get what you give?

Rather it be through the good you do or the bad, karma has a way finding you.

I chose “The flipped side of karma” for today’s topic because, rather we understand or believe in the laws of karma, it does not change or stop it from greeting you one day.
The flipped side of karma is learning to do good whole heartedly while making better choices with matters of the heart.

What is karma?
Karma is sometimes referred to as a “moral law of cause and effect.” Karma is both an encouragement to do good and to avoid evil, as well as an explanation for whatever good or evil befalls a person.

Flipping the script of Karma is and easy task just…

Watch your thoughts, for they become words.
Watch your words, for they become actions.
Watch your actions, for they become habits.
Watch your habits, for they become character.
Watch your character, for it becomes your destiny.

Now….
Karma is a Sanskrit word that means “action.” Karma has commonly been considered a punishment for past bad actions, but karma is neither judge nor jury. Rather, it is simply the universal law of cause and effect that says every thought, word and act carries energy into the world and affects our present reality.

~ Have you ever heard the term: reap what you sow?

That simple means, what you give or do is what shall be returned to you.

I remember my mom sharing a quote with me as a child, she said,

“Trina, never plant beans and expect melons to grow!”

I was like, “ok mom, I’ll be sure not to go doing that”.

~ What my mom was trying to tell me is to never expect what I was not giving.

~ And don’t expect positive growth if that is not what you are planting!

~ If it’s love you seek ~ Give love, be love.
~ If it’s friendship you seek ~ Become a friend.

The best way to have a friend is to actually be a friend.

Now don’t get me wrong, although these weekly words of expression may sound
A bit mushy and unrealistic in today’s world, they nevertheless punch true.

And yes there are people you’ll come across with no home training that will make you want to do wrong, but, keep in mind rather good or bad, what you reap you sow.

When I was in elementary school, I was the class talker. Plus I sat right next to the class clown, bad mix!
I’ll never forget this kid, his name was Denzel. This boy was completly hilarious yall.

Back then, we’d have what you call a cappin session. This is where you’d talk about the person or say some yo momma jokes every now and again. Well this boy was so funny that even though you knew full well this boy was clownin you in front of the class, ya couldn’t help but laugh anyway.
Anyway, said that to say this, I’d talk and chop it up in class, didn’t finish my work and chose to play outside after school instead of doing homework. Then had the nerve to get all upset when my report card came with C’s D’s and F’s!!!

Every action has a reaction yall.

Like momma said, Trina, don’t plant beans and think melons will grow!

Don’t mess up in class and think ya gone get A’s!!!

That soon translated to Trina, you gone get punished for bringin F’s home!!!

Every action has a reaction!!! LOL!

Now, Can You Change Karma?

Yes you can, you’ve gotta look at the man or woman in the mirror and change for the better. One way to change karma is to perhaps to change your surroundings. Meaning the company you keep. Momma also said, Bad association spoils useful habits!

I recently did some soul searching and house cleaning of the ppl I was associating with.
Soon as I did that, really great ppl began to assemble around me. You have got to do this for your self….

Do better, care about others, genuinely and make a choice within yourself to choose good over bad. Needless to say, we are not living in a perfect world and these choices become hard when others do you wrong. Always resonate within your spirit, no matter what is done is what comes back! Never allow this truth to surpass your understanding.
