As mother’s we almost always forget about ourselves. We seem to have no time to even think of pursue our own likes, hobbies, let alone COLLEGE! We become so absorbed with family that we at times we put our own dreams on the back burner. For me, after starting a family and and getting married at a very young age, needless to say a “LOT”of my personal dreams became a far look in a tunnel with no possible light. The routine of mom, wife and taxi driver pushed “SELF” in a distance miles away.
True, as I do, we ALL love our families. However, what happens to the dreams and things we want to remove from the back burner to push forth to a future you’ve once dreamed? In caming across a book in 2006 written by Zachery Tims named “IT’S NEVER TO LATE”. It takes you on a step by step chronolization his life. The man went through horrible things. He went through things that should only be in movies that you’d never want your kids to see. Yet, this man has changed his life for the good and has become the example of greatness.
After reading his book, I then thought to myself, “I will live my dreams, I will go back to school, I will complete my goals and I will be all that I desire”! I mean, why not! Also, in 2006, The S-H-E-M-A Gurls was created. We figured it had to be more people that felt the same way. We wanted to hear stories of how others triumphed from success to success.
What is YOUR “IT’S NEVER TOO LATE” story of triumph? Share with us how you have lived dreams even through hurdles life brings!!!
If you still have breath, there’s still time!!!!
Big Hugs
